Why go on retreat?
Retreats are an essential component to the life of a disciple. Through self-reflection, prayer, and study you distance yourself from the world and walk closer to the Lord. The Catholic Church recommends that all people attend at least one retreat per year to foster spiritual growth, deepen the relationship with God, provide respite from worldly distractions, and encourage the pursuit of holiness among all disciples of Christ.
