A reflection was given by Gail Sladek on October 1st, during First Friday prayer and adoration. It was entitled “Go to Joseph – Turn to Mary.” A recording of the reflection is available on YouTube by clicking on the link below.
Baby Bottle Project
In October, our parish will be participating in The Baby Bottle Project benefiting The Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland. This non-profit organization directly assists mothers and families experiencing crisis pregnancies by offering emotional, financial, material, and spiritual support through counseling, clothing & monetary provisions, prayer, and other aid. By God’s Grace, The Women’s Centers have saved over 40,000 babies—and their mothers—from abortion since opening in 1984.
Empty baby bottles will be available in the narthex in October, as a way to save your change and make your donation. If you are making a donation by check, please make it payable to: The Women’s Center. You can also go directly to the The Women’s Center website at GoTWC.org, or call 773.794.1313 to donate.
Thank you!

The Christian population in the Holy Land is dropping at an alarming rate. Forty years ago we were more than 18%. Today we are less than 2%. Our future is uncertain.
The most important source of income for these Christians has traditionally been the sale of olive wood handicrafts to pilgrims and tourists. This has been since the time of the Crusades. But that income has all but dried up in recent years as a result of political unrest in the region, with grave implications for the Christian families.
Please shop and support these crafters. Bring your Christmas list!
