Children’s Catechumenate

Children’s Catechumenate

A team of adult men and women who share faith with children seven years and older who have yet to be baptized.  The process they facilitate is based on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, adapted to meet the needs of children.  Catechists in the children’s catechumenate meet weekly between September and May with the children as they explore and deepen their relationship with Jesus and the Catholic Church in preparation for their receiving Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
