PRESENTATION OF GIFTS - We bring our gifts of bread and wine to the altar ("May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands...")
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER - We thank and praise God for all of our blessings and for the gift of Jesus
("Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. --- It is right to give him thanks and
praise!").
CONSECRATION OF THE BREAD - The bread becomes for us the Body of Christ ("This is my
body...")
CONSECRATION OF THE WINE - The wine becomes for us the blood of Christ ("This is the cup of my
blood...")
At
the Conclusion of the
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER we affirm our belief and join with the prayers of the priest
with the GREAT ... "AMEN".
COMMUNION RITE - We prepare to come forward to receive Jesus in the Eucharist.
THE LORD'S PRAYER - We pray in the words that Jesus taught us ("Our Father, who art in
heaven...")
RITE OF PEACE - We offer one another a sign of Christ's peace ("Let us offer one another a sign of Christ's
peace.")
BREAKING OF THE BREAD - We, who are many, are made one body in Christ ("Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the
world...")
COMMUNION - We receive the body and blood of Jesus
("The body of Christ.
