The Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School (CJB), your parish school, is back in session. We are pleased to announce a simple way our parishioners and school families can support CJB without any additional spending. We call it Everyday Fundraising. We are a community with many financial demands and we have found very convenient ways for you to help without having to purchase one additional item. The goal of CJB’s Everyday Fundraising Committee is to increase awareness, participation and revenue from corporate sponsored fundraising programs in order to assist in maintaining affordable Catholic education. Many local and national companies recognize the need for schools to generate additional revenue, offering non-profit organizations cash rebates and merchandise based on the everyday purchases made by our families and friends. So many of you over the years have saved Campbell’s soup labels and Box Top coupons for us for which we are so grateful. This year we bring back old programs with a new flare and also introduce many new programs to the parish. Below is the list of the programs CJB will be focusing on this year: Campbell’s Labels for Education program General Mills Box Tops for Education Program Tyson A+ 1-2-3 Jewel Shop and Share Days Cub Foods Community Dollars Market Day Gordon Food Service Fun Funds Target Take Charge for Education Kemps Nickels for Schools Washington Mutual’s WaMoola for Standard Bank Accounts Benefiting Children Schools Look for further information from CJB in upcoming bulletins on how easy it is for St. Julie’s parishioners to participate in these programs and make a difference! It really does add up when we all work together. Every helping hand counts! Mrs. Kerry Rost, a school parent and St. Julie’s parishioner for 9 years, will serve as the school-parish liaison for the Everyday Fundraising Committee. Kerry and her husband, John live in Orland Park and have four children, all current CJB students. She may stop by one of your parish committee meetings to share more detailed information and answer questions about these corporate fundraising programs. We’re looking forward to working with our parish community on this project. The collection bin at St. Julie’s parish is located in the rotunda right outside the St. Julie store. And again, thank you for your support.
