Strategic Plan for Pastoral Ministry History of Strategic Planning At the beginning of Fr. Lanza's pastorate, he called together parish leadership to do some long-range planning, in anticipation of the Millennium Campaign, Sharing Christ's Gifts. As a result, after raising just over a million dollars, St. Julie embarked on a project to erect a pastoral center, provide for increased parking spaces closer to the church, open a new devotional chapel dedicated to Mary and renovate the parish hall to include a new youth drop-in center. This capital project ended in October of 2005. The project also envisioned a yet-to-be funded and built bell tower and computer resource center for religious education. With the substantial completion of the building projected to be funded by Sharing Christ's Gifts, Fr. Lanza called together parish leadership again. This leadership was composed of the Parish Council, the Finance Council, the members of the five ministry boards, those parishioners who had completed the Lay Leadership Training Program and a handful of at-large parishioners. They met a number of times to put together a strategic plan which would guide the pastoral ministry of St. Julie parish up to the year 2013. We formulated a vision of what we would like our parish to be. Working from this vision, we articulated specific goals and strategies revolving around four aspects of ministry.
