Bravo To Our Music Ministers, continued

 

Music and singing come naturally to most children. It allows them to express their joy and enthusiasm. Our “Kids’ Khoir”, students in grades 2-6 rehearse on Tuesday afternoons from 4-5pm in the Parish Hall. They sing at a weekend liturgy once or twice a month. What a wonderful way to teach our children about stewardship. They recognize that God has given them the gift of a sweet voice and they can help to bring joy to others at mass when they sing. When members actually stay members for some years, it becomes possible to actually do some songs in 2-part harmony or songs as a round.

Parents, please talk to your child about singing in our Parish Kids’ Khoir. They have fun and still accomplish a wonderful ministry for the people of St. Julie. They have recorded songs that are on our Parish Christmas CD/Cassette, they just sang with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra in our church for our Christmas Concert, they join the other parish choirs on Thanksgiving and other important holydays and they sing at our weekend liturgies. We are ALWAYS in need of new voices. So, kids, how about joining our Kids’ Khoir for the second part of the year? Call Miss Deanne at 429-6906 if you are interested. Parents, how about talking to your child(ren). ♫
