HUMAN CONCERNS
Provide support and loving assistance in times of need

St Julie Parish supports the Port Ministries

With twenty-one years of serving the poor and homeless in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, Port Ministries is in danger of drastically cutting its services We desperately need your help.

We can save this much-needed refuge of comfort and hope. Your donation, small or large will help continue the work that has sustained over 4,700 of God's children. It will go towards:

  • Sheltering, training and empowering nearly 1,000 families at Theresa House.

  • Feeding 215 each day during the school year, 275 children on Saturdays (and daily during non-school hours).

  • Providing over 4,200 patient visits to uninsured families at the Port Free Clinic.

  •  Welcoming 75 adult students each year to ESIJ/GED classes and offering age appropriate activities for their children.

  • Strengthening the bodies and spirits of local at-risk youth in Tony's Gym through gym and fitness programs.

The numbers of poor and homeless in need are growing and that's why Port Ministries needs your help. Please join us in our campaign to save Port Ministries and continue God's work in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Click on the Link to learn more about The Port.
