TESTIMONIALS
"I delivered 10 shawls to the
O'Reilly Medical Center. Most often on Fridays, there are no patients in
the chemo room, so the receptionist allows me to go back there. Today,
however, was different. It is Good Friday. I was invited back to the chemo
room where I was greeted by Jean and two other nurses, who were so excited
to see me and to receive our beautiful shawls and prayers. When I turned
around, several patients were undergoing treatment wrapped in our shawls.
My eyes filled with tears as so many told me of the comfort they receive
from you and from your prayers. They want you to know that each shawl is
just perfect and that you are in their prayers too."
“You have touched my life in a very special way – I have shared this story and your ministry with my family and friends. The shawl represents so much of my belief system and has grown through my cancer journey.” MB “I will never forget what the shawl ministry has done for me. When you and Mary Anne placed my shawl around me, I felt such a blessing I cannot begin to describe. Even today I can place that shawl around me and I can hear whispers of prayer. This is the Truth!” MK “Thank you so much for remembering me at this time of my life with so much happening. You surely cheered me up. The shawl is so soft and warm. I can feel the love.” GH “Thank you so much for the heart-touching shawl and prayers and wishes. I feel the warmth of all who are involved with this wonderful ministry.” MK “Thank you so much for your kindness. I truly love the shawl you made for me upon the death of our son. I have often worn it as I sit and write the many thank you notes from our son’s funeral. So many people have extended their sympathies to us. However, this shawl is a very special gift. The warmth and comfort it gives is like a special hug from our son and his hugs are one of the things I will always miss the most.” GC, mother of a brave soldier who died in Iraq “Thank you for your loving touch and all your prayers. When I receive chemo I’m always cold and now I have the warmth of all your parish.” SP “This shawl has been my constant companion when I feel down. I just snuggle up and say a few prayers and my problems seem to dissipate.” JB
