This is a parish program designed for engaged couples which fulfills the requirements of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Through small group discussions, exercises and presentations, engaged couples are encouraged to concentrate more intensely on the many facets of married life.

Some of the topics presented are:
The changing nature of marriage, personal growth and couple adjustment, mutual decision making, the elements of effective communication, conflict management, intimacy and sexual expressions, financial planning, sacramentality, goal setting, the extended family and interfaith marriage.

Sessions are conducted by married couples from the parish in their homes.

Sessions are held in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Engaged couples are expected to attend all scheduled sessions in the month.

St Julie Billiart parish in conjunction with St. Steven's Parish have established this Parish Centered Marriage Preparation Program. 

Preparation sessions will be facilitated by one of the married couples who have been trained  in this ministry. They are:

Arrangements must be made at least
SIX MONTHS
in advance of wedding date.
