Julie Billiart In the Acts of the Apostles, we read that members of the early Christian community "devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers." (Act 2:42) Since then, the Church has emphasized the importance of these same elements: WORD, WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, and SERVICE in all its catechetical documents. At
St. Julie Billiart, we foster a catechesis, faithful and effective,
which integrates these four dimensions in all its processes and wherein
young people are introduced to lifelong faith formation and true
discipleship. We take a
holistic view which includes and reinforces the living faith of parents,
families, extended families, catechists and parish community. Statement
of Catechetical Purpose Rooted in the Gospel and tradition, and guided by the Spirit, the parish community of St. Julie Billiart offers Religious education in which
Registration & Schedule of Classes Registration
is done by mail in the spring for the current families.
This annual re-registration includes updating essential family
information, the emergency file, and custodial status as changes occur.
We follow the same age requirements as local school districts.
For the registration of a child entering the program for the
first time, or for a child who is transferring into the program, the
parent/guardian presents a Baptismal certificate and a transfer report. All Classes are held in Devine Activity Center according to the schedule on page two.
